Albert G. Roberts

Funeral services for Albert G. Roberts, 69, Reserve, will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Christian Church at Reserve in charge of Grover Vice of Rulo. Burial will be in the Rulo cemetery. Grandsons of Mr. Roberts will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Roberts died Thursday at the Horton hospital. He was taken to the hospital Wednesday. Mr. Roberts had been in failing health for five years. Death was caused by complications.

April 17, 1880, Mr. Roberts was born in Jasper county, Mo. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert G. Roberts, Sr. When he was a small child his parents moved to a farm southeast of Falls City.

In 1899, Mr. Roberts was married to Susie Johnson in Falls City. The couple settled on a farm south of Rulo. Sixteen years ago the couple moved to Reserve. Mrs. Roberts died Aug. 2, 1948.

Mr. Roberts is survived by three sons, Orville Roberts, Rulo, Edgar Roberts, White Cloud, Kas., and Albert Roberts, Lewisburg, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. Glenn Johnson and Mrs. Lloyd Chase, both of Reserve, Mrs. John Bean, Fairbury, and Mrs. Cecilio Antonia, San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, Mose Roberts, Topeka, Kas., and Harvey Roberts, Rulo. There are 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The body of Mr. Roberts is at the Chaney-Hodgens funeral home and Saturday afternoon will be taken to the family home in Reserve.
